Artist Statement

I explore ways to incorporate MF tenets and principles into the more traditional dance technique class. The young college dance students I teach generally have very specific habits and ideas that often vary greatly from the concepts behind MF. I work to gently. gradually, sensitively, and courageously help expand students’ notions of “training,” and expertise and helping to develop their awareness, voice, and artistry by incorporating MF principles into my teaching and learning practices.
